Call for Tutorials Just Published!

The CCECE 2018 Call for Tutorials is available for consultation below. You can also download it. Tutorials will be held in the morning and the afternoon of Sunday, May 13, 2018. Each tutorial will should be three (3) hours long, including a 30 minutes break.

Tutorial Proposals are invited in all areas of interest of the conference, including, but not limited to:

  • Circuits, Devices and Systems
  • Communications & Networking
  • Computer & Software Engineering
  • Signal Theory & Signal Processing
  • Optoelectronics & Photonics
  • Non-Destructive Testing
  • Control & Robotics
  • Bioengineering & Biomedical Apps
  • Power Electronics & Energy Systems
  • Machine & Computer Vision
  • stainable Energy

Submission

Proposals must be submitted to tutorials@ccece2018.org in a single PDF file no later than Thursday, November 30, 2017. Notifications of acceptance will be issued by Sunday, December 10, 2017.

All Tutorial proposals should contain a proposed title, as well as the following information:

  • A description of the tutorial topic, providing a sense of both the scope and depth of the tutorial, along with a tutorial outline;
  • Address the importance and timeliness of the proposal, and its relevance to researchers and engineers;
  • Names, affiliation, email and mailing address, and a two-page resume of each presenter;
  • NOTE: If the tutorial was previously given, indicate where and when, and provide planned modifications for CCECE 2018. If possible, provide a link to slides of the previous presentation.

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated using the following criteria:

  • Timeliness of the proposal: Importance of the topic in 2018 and relevance to CCECE;
  • Quality of the proposal: Coverage of topic, coherence, and experience of speakers;
  • Spectrum of the proposal: Is the topic of interest to academia and/or industry, researchers and/or engineers? Is it likely to attract CCECE 2018 attendees?
